For the past four years I have written a monthly column for Society Guardian – Girl in the Corner. I have used my column to share my views on a range of social issues from alcohol addiction and sexual exploitation, to the impact of bereavement and school safety.
Having written nearly 50 columns I think it’s time for a change. I am committed to ensuring that young people’s voices are heard and the column is a great way to realise this ambition. For the next six months I will write my column with a different young person on an issue that is current in the news and in which they have an interest. I will use this process to see if I can find one young person to take over my column.
If you are aged 16-25 and have opinions on social issues that affect you, your friends, family and local neighbourhood I want to hear from you.
To apply for this opportunity please fill in the attached form and send it back to me. Every month, two weeks before the column deadline, I will contact an applicant that has expressed an interest in an issue that is being covered in the news and we’ll write a piece together. This opportunity will remain open until the last columnist has been selected.
Any queries please email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
I can’t wait to hear from you,
